Product Description

This tea is based on a Sencha style green tea from Hunan and is delightfully blended with lychee and jasmine. The addition of juicy tart lychee and ethereal jasmine infuse the grassy green leaves with an added brightness and touch of pizzazz. The flavor of the tea is incredible – tangy notes of lychee dance above the exotic tones of jasmine intertwined with touches of honey, citrus and green apple. Perfect harmony of scents and flavors. From the first sip you’ll understand what makes it so popular. A tea best enjoyed with friends!

A little about our base tea:
This tea is based on a Sencha style green tea from Hunan. Interestingly, both green and black teas can be produced from the same bushes. During manufacture, the freshly plucked leaves are steamed immediately and then bruised either by machine or hand. During the steaming process, the tea is layered with jasmine blossoms and lychee. Next the leaf is either pan-fired - a process that imparts a distinctive glossy look and feel - and dried. Unscented Senchas typically have dark green, needle shaped leaves and produce a pale green to yellow, very bright and smooth cup with a sweetish, honey like finish.

Preparation and Food Pairing

Use 1 heaping tsp per 7-9 oz water @180'F. Steep 3 minutes. Re-infuse up to 3 times.
Food Pairing:
This tea is great with fresh fruit and curried dishes.
