Greetings to you and be well! Our Namaste Green Chai is a very special chai akin to the wonderful green tea-based chai served to the visitors to the temple in Chennai, India. The blend is identical to the original in every way save for the base tea. While the original used an Indian green tea, our Chai is based on a premium Japanese Sencha grade tea, selected for its light flavor and ability to blend seamlessly with a variety of spices. The cup of this Chai is rich and warm, rolling over the taste buds with soothing notes of peppery spice.

PREPARATION METHODS: Hot tea brewing method: Bring freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 heaping teaspoon of tea for each cup into the teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let steep for 5-10 minutes (for true ‘Chai’ steep at least 7 minutes). While the tea is brewing prepare your cup to receive the chai – put 2 teaspoons of sugar in the cup and add milk (about 20%) of the cup’s volume. When the chai is ready – pour into your cup.
