Invigorating powers of organic white ginseng, rare schizandra berry and raspberry, burdock root, rosehips, peppermint, licorice and dandelion roots some together in this unique tisane. Each component of it has a great story. The Chinese call schizandra Five Taste Fruit, because it contains all of the tastes – bitter, sweet, pungent, salty, and sour. Ginseng, the King of Tonics, was so important in China, that traditionally only the emperor could collect its roots. Dandelion is called “The Little Plant That Roars” and licorice root “A Great Adjunct” or “A Great Detoxifier”. Rosehip is known in folklore as “The Queen of the Flowers”. In ancient Rome it was used as a tribute or blessing. Burdock Root is cultivated in Japan as a vegetable and is often referred to as “The Big Purifier”. By the European Middle Ages, raspberry was recognized as a favorite women’s tonic and in early Christian artwork, raspberries were used to symbolize kindness. Japanese valued mint so much that they carried it in small, silver boxes that hung from their belts. But enough history, sit back and enjoy this delicious tisane!
